A city in the island of Cyprus. (Acts 13:5) Here the apostle Paul in his travels preached the word of God, being sent forth with Barnabas by God the Holy Ghost for that purpose. We have a most interesting record concerning the apostles' success in this island, in being instrumental to the conversion of the deputy governor, and the opposition they met with from Elymas the sorcerer.
