We read of the gold of Upham, perhaps the same as Opher: the certain man, Daniel saw in a vision, had his loins apparently girded with it. (Daniel 10:5) The church speaks of her Lord's head, as of this gold. (Song of Solomon 5:11) And John's account of the Lord Jesus Christ is much to the same amount. (Revelation 1:13, etc.) What sublime descriptions they all are of the glories of his person. But how infinitely short of what Christ really is!
