1. challamish, 'hard rock,' out of which water was brought. Deuteronomy 8:15; Psalms 114:8. Christ, because of His opposers, set His face like a flint, and He knew He should not be ashamed. Isaiah 50:7. God made Jacob to suck oil out of the flinty rock. Deuteronomy 32:13.

2. tsor, 'rock.' God made Ezekiel's forehead as an adamant, harder than flint, because of the obduracy of Israel. Ezekiel 3:9. The horses' hoofs of God's executors of judgement shall be like flint. Isaiah 5:28.
