TOWERS
Were erected not only in the outer walls and on the heights within cities, Judges 1:9-49 Psalms 48:12 Luke 13:4, but along the frontiers of a country, at points where the approach of an enemy could be descried at a distance, Judges 9:17 Isaiah 1:21-9 Ezekiel 1:33-6.
