1 Samuel 2:34

And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them.

Et ce sera un signe pour toi. Il n'était pas inhabituel pour les prophètes de prédire la survenue d'un événement remarquable qui allait bientôt se produire, que ce soit un fait accompli peut être un "signe" ou un gage de la certitude de leurs prédictions quant à l'avenir lointain (cf. 1 Samuel 10:7; 1 Rois 13:3; 2 Rois 19:29; Ésaïe 7:2; Jér. 14:29; Matthieu 21:1 - Matthieu 21:3; Luc 19:20 - Luc 19:34).
