And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Ben-ha'dad the son of Hazael, all their days.

Il les a livrés entre les mains de Hazael ... et ... Ben-hadad ... tous leurs jours - plutôt, 'tous ses jours' (2 Rois 13:22 - 2 Rois 13:23). Dans l'extrême de sa détresse, Joakhaz a supplié le Seigneur et a été entendu, non pour son propre compte (Psaume 66:18; Proverbes 1:28; Proverbes 15:8), mais celui de l'ancienne alliance avec les patriarches (2 Rois 13:23).
