And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.

Au milieu du tabernacle que David avait dressé pour lui. Le vieux tabernacle est resté à Gabaon (1 Chroniques 16:39; 1 Chroniques 21:29; 2 Chroniques 1:3). Il n'a probablement pas été enlevé parce qu'il était trop grand pour la place temporaire que le roi lui avait réservée et parce qu'il envisageait la construction d'un temple magnifique.

Et David a offert des holocaustes et des offrandes de paix ...
