Daniel 3:26

Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

Vous, serviteurs du Dieu le plus élevé - il reconnaît que Yahweh est suprême au-dessus des autres dieux (non pas qu'il ait cessé de croire en ceux-ci); il revient donc à sa confession originelle, "votre Dieu est un Dieu de dieux" (Daniel 2:47), dont il s'était écarté entre-temps, peut-être enivré par son succès en prenant Jérusalem, dont il pensait donc incapable de la défendre.
