And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.

Les jours ... Bien que âgé de 130 ans, il compte par jours (cf. Psaume 90:12), qu'il appelle peu, comme ils sont apparus dans le rétrospect, et le mal, parce que sa vie avait été une série de troubles presque ininterrompue. La réponse est remarquable, compte tenu de l'obscurité relative de l'âge patriarcal (cf. 2 Timothée 1:10).
