Jérémie 47:6

O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still.

Ô épée du Seigneur, combien de temps faudra-t-il avant de te taire? Jérémie, en la personne des Philistins qui s’affligent (Jérémie 47:5), apostrophise l'épée du Seigneur, implorant la miséricorde (cf. Deutéronome 32:41; Ézéchiel 21:3 - Ézéchiel 21:5; Ézéchiel 21:9 - Ézéchiel 21:10).
