Osée 9:16

Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.

Ephraim est frappé, leur racine est séchée, ils ne doivent pas porter de fruit. Les chiffres "racine", "fruit" sont suggérés par le mot. "Ephraim" - i: e., Fructueux (notes, Osée 9:11 - Osée 9:12). "Frappé" - à savoir, avec une brûlure (Psaume 102:4, "Mon cœur est frappé et flétri comme l'herbe").
