E nel secondo mese, il ventisette del mese, la terra fu seccata. E nel secondo mese, il settimo e ventesimo giorno - Da questo risulta che Noè fu nell'arca un intero anno solare, ovvero trecentosessantacinque giorni; poiché entrò nell'arca il 17° giorno del secondo mese, nell'anno seicentesimo della sua vita, Genesi 7:11 , Genesi 7:13 , e vi Genesi 7:13 fino al 27° giorno del secondo mese, nel seicentesimo e primo anno della sua vita, come si vede sopra.

The months of the ancient Hebrews were lunar; the first six consisted of thirty days each, the latter six of twenty-nine; the whole twelve months making three hundred and fifty-four days: add to this eleven days, (for though he entered the ark the preceding year on the seventeenth day of the second month, he did not come out till the twenty-seventh of the same month in the following year), which make exactly three hundred and sixty-five days, the period of a complete solar revolution; the odd hours and minutes, as being fractions of time, noncomputed, though very likely all included in the account.
