διδάσκαλος ἐθνῶν. ἐθνῶν is omitted by א*A 17, and it is regarded by some critical editors as introduced here from 1 Timothy 2:7, where it is certainly genuine; it is consequently omitted both by Tischendorf and by WH. But the external evidence for its retention is very strong, including as it does not only all MSS. save those cited, but the witness of the Egyptian, Syriac and Old Latin versions.
